Professional Plumbing Course

Our Professional Plumbing Course covers topics necessary to become a plumber.

Pre-Requisites
To enrol on this programme, you don’t need any previous experience of plumbing. The most important requirement is a desire to learn.

Learning Method
The course is provided as a blended learning programme which includes home study and practical workshop modules. Each module ends with an assessment to ensure you achieve the desired competency that will determine your progress through the course.

Practical Workshops
You will be attending a series of 5 day practical sessions at our training centre to complete the practical work modules that make up your programme.
These practical modules will give you the underpinning knowledge and experience required to become a plumber. These elements will form the basis of your skills that will give you the confidence to work as a plumber. At any stage during the course you will have the opportunity to discuss your progress with one
of our expert tutors, who will be guiding you through
your training.

You can build a portfolio of work which can be used as proof of your accomplishments. You will need to provide your own overalls and steel toe-capped working shoes, although these can be provided at cost price.
All necessary tools will be provided for the duration of your training.

Four Qualifications
Students who successfully complete the training will achieve the Open College Network Units of Credit Certificates for the practical stage of training which includes copper pipe work, bathroom installation with cold water storage cistern and hot water cylinder plus installing radiators'.

During the remainder of the course you will achieve the Bpec Water Regulations and Unvented Hot Water certificates. In the final week you will be able to achieve the City & Guilds 6128 Technical Certificate and
be given the added opportunity to undertake the CSCS Card. You will then be qualified and ready to become
a Professional Plumber.

Course Duration:
5 weeks (up to 2 years to complete the course)
