This is a Foundation Level course designed for those tradespeople such as kitchen fitters, tilers etc who may need to do small plastering jobs as part of their service or for anyone who wants the skills to undertake basic plastering DIY jobs around the home or even for those who would like to become a plasterer and may consider further training at a later date.

You will work in your own full size bay and during
the standard 5 day course will receive training in the following skills:

• How to fix and cut plasterboard to both
  walls and ceilings.

• How to tape standard and internal joints.

• How to cut and fix angle beads around windows and reveals.

• How to prepare surfaces for plastering using bonding plaster and finishing plaster, and how
  to ensure a flat finished surface ready for final decorating.

• How to mix plastering materials.

• How to skim both walls and ceilings

• How to apply PVA adhesive Unibond to surfaces.

• How to use sand and cement to render
  external walls.
